We’re excited to share that Lulu’s Place is now 74% complete! September marked a shift toward the finishing details that will bring each space closer to completion.

At the TGR Learning Lab, exterior metal panels neared completion and additional windows were installed. As exterior scaffolding and elevated work platforms came down, more of the building’s architecture was revealed. Inside, drywall work progressed to painting, with ceilings and restroom tile up next.

At the Welcome Center, windows were installed throughout the main lobby, metal panel work continued, and the multi-week stucco process began on the exterior accent walls, while interior drywall finishing advanced ahead of painting and tile.

Across the athletic spaces, preparations began for pouring the final tennis courts, and fencing continued throughout the tennis center. At the east end of our campus, fine grading was completed and base materials were added on the multipurpose field in preparation for turf, and the basketball courts are now paved with hoops installed.

The campus landscape is taking shape as well. Trees and other plantings went in along the east Paseo and around the multipurpose field, pedestrian light poles were installed, and crews began preparing pathways that will connect Lulu’s Place buildings, fields, courts, and gathering spaces.

We can’t wait to see the campus filled with youth and families from across Los Angeles in 2027!
